Ways To Help Support The Statesman's Shelf
Want to help support The Statesman’s Shelf Food Pantry? Become a Smart Shopper!
As a Smart Shopper for The Statesman’s Shelf Food Pantry, you will be equipped with a list of items/supplies needed in the pantry. By making donations from our list, you help ensure we meet the needs of our community, while not stocking our shelves with items we either have too much of already or items likely to not be used.
The Statesman’s Shelf welcomes any person in the Delta State Community to donate non-perishable food items to benefit others in our DSU Community. There is always a need for non-perishable food items.
To help our Smart Shoppers, The Statesman’s Shelf has purchased reusable grocery bags. Those wishing to donate can pick up bags in 307 H.L. Nowell Student Union. Then, visit your favorite grocery store, load up the bag, and return it to 307 H.L. Nowell Student Union. You do not have to use our bags to donate. All donations of unexpired gooods are truly appreciated.
Below, you will find a link to our Smart Shopper’s List, an ever-growing list of items the pantry needs. Additionally, Items marked with a “Yes” are available at most Dollar Tree locations in Cleveland, allowing you to shop smartly but provide resources for the pantry. These items are normally high demand and very low stock.
Your assistance in helping us fill the reusable bags with donations for the pantry are greatly appreciated.
